| Basalt / Carbon hybrid sheet. This sheet is manufactured using carbon fiber fabric as our typical surface layer, we then use basalt fabric as the rest of the laminate, this gives the sheet practically the same characteristics such as low weight and high strength of our carbon fiber sheets but at a lower cost.
Super glossy mirror surface. The .023" is our second thinnest sheet, can be used in light structural applications as well as a thicker veneer layer over another material in order to give a carbon fiber appearance. The .023" thickness can NOT be flexed around any small curves but can be flexed in large scale architectural applications. Since this is a real carbon fiber sheet it can not be bent, molded or shaped with or without heat.
Option: You can also choose to add 3M 468MP industrial adhesive backing for easy peel and stick application.
Tools Required: This sheet can be cut with good heavier scissors or Dremel type rotary tool. Mark on sheet with a Sharpie marker, marks can be removed with acetone. You can also apply masking tape over areas and mark on that, remove after cutting. Edges can be easily sanded, we recommend wet sanding with maximum 80 grit. |
